Description : The Manager of External Reporting will have primary responsibility for the consolidation and preparation of the financial statements, including supplemental information including footnote disclosures and lender compliance requirements. This position will work closely with the Corporate Accounting organization and other Finance teams to prepare and consolidate the monthly financial statements. This position will also be responsible for technical accounting research and policy development.

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent):

-Creation, preparation, and consolidation of financial statements (balance sheet, P/L, statement of cash flows).
-Creation of monthly internal reporting (i.e. board deck).
-Draft quarterly debt compliance certifications.
-Drafting and filing of all SEC documents (8-K’s/press releases, 10-Q’s, 10-K’s).
-Coordination of all external auditor requests for quarterly/interim/year-end audits.
-Ownership of key accounting policies and procedures, including researching technical accounting positions and creating position papers
-Managing internal control documentation and testing, including coordination of outsourced internal audit work
-Coordination of monthly close checklist and reconciliations.
-Direct supervision of reporting staff.
Requirements : Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements:

-Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
-3-5 years of external reporting experience

Basic Qualifications:

-Directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
-Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability analysis and/or auditing techniques.
-Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting aggressive deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
-Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
-Technical accounting experience (research and practical application)
-Advanced level skill in Microsoft 2007 or later: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
-Certified Public Accountant preferred.
