Description : The General Insurance (GI) Claims Business Analysis Manager is responsible for supporting the GI Claims Strategic Initiatives through various projects and initiatives of varying complexity. Responsible for project planning, status reporting, communication, project financials and issue/risk escalation on individual projects. Accountable for ensuring successful delivery of a project that is completed on-budget, on-time, benefits realization, and with client satisfaction.

This role will support the GI Claims Administration office through activities aligned to the GI Claims Strategic Initiatives through program support, individual project support and centralized governance and reporting. The role will work closely with Strategic Initiatives Director within GI Claims Administration as well as other groups in GI Claims, specifically the Claims Performance teams on centralized governance and reporting.

An individual who offers recommendations substantiated with data and can support the delivery of implementation of such recommendations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supports GI Claims Administration team in driving the GI Claims Strategic Objectives across GI Claims globally
- Supports strategic initiative management on various projects and initiatives of varying complexity
- Leads the documenting and defining of business requirements and developing specifications to solve business problems
- Creates solutions to better the organization with the customer at the center
- Works with Claims business unit to address opportunities for improvements in processes
- Regularly monitors and tracks KPI progress, reporting against budget, timeline, scope and business involvement on individual projects and from portfolio perspectives
- Facilitates identification and management of projects at risk. Conducts specific reviews for such projects or as requested by management
- Interfaces with project teams and various interested parties such as stakeholders, relevant business areas or functional areas
Requirements : What we’re looking for:
- Solid project management skills are required, including the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while maintaining a sense of urgency, as is an ability to operate effectively in an unstructured environment.
- Strong analytical skills, able to determine root cause through analysis
- Strong communication skills both in writing and verbal
- Metrics oriented and able establish KPIs, SLAs, etc
- Ability to provide creative solutions to address operational issues
- Proven ability to dissect complex business issues, perform research and analysis, and synthesize conclusions into a value-maximizing strategy
- Strong business acumen with a proven track record of making sound judgments backed by strong analytical skills
- Comfortable building relationships, internally and externally
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity, conflict and difficult situations
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deal with change in a proactive and positive manner
