Job Summary

Onyx is seeking a talented leader to partner with our technology team as we shape its strategic direction, drive high quality execution, and continue raising the bar on innovation. As a member of the Onyx Strategy team, you’ll be at the forefront of setting a cohesive, strategic vision for our Onyx technology partners as well as driving the successful execution of this plan as we continue to deliver results for our business partners.

This role will work in a cross-business, cross-functional environment to accelerate decision making and will have exposure & visibility to senior management. Types of initiatives may include answering questions around key vendor selection, global resource allocation, supporting decisions around which new technology to adopt, when to adopt it, and how to deploy it.

This role is ideal for a highly self-motivated individual who performs well in fast-paced environments and is not afraid to tackle ambiguous situations. This role will be responsible for simultaneously leading multiple initiatives, including managing teams of direct and indirect reports. They will work with senior stakeholders to define objectives and key milestones, and will be independently responsible for engaging and building partnerships with relevant business partners. The candidate will be looked to as a thought leader within the Onyx team.

Job Requirements

8-10+ years of work experience in the technology space
Prior tech experience including knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and key technology vendors. Nice to have: blockchain experience
Preferably prior experience in a strategy / management consulting environment that included resource management & planning, productivity monitoring and execution transparency
Prior experience managing and leading teams through decision making exercises and implementations of outputs from key decisions
Successful track record of hitting execution milestones and driving efficient and transparent progress with large scale technology teams

The Wholesale Payments Product Delivery organization is responsible for scaling and integrating payments platforms across Commercial Banking and the Corporate & Investment Bank, by defining the product strategy, segmenting clients and packing solutions against these segments, determining the end-to-end delivery strategy, managing product launches and enabling the sales teams.
