Description : Direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly close process, monthly, quarterly, and annual billings to clients for services provided, billing reimbursements from clients, collection of accounts receivable, supervising accounts payable, payroll, monthly reporting for the owner, monthly preparation of a reforecast, annual preparation of a budget, assist in the preparation of quarterly tax projections and annual tax return preparation and all treasury administration.

The Chief Accounting Officer will also be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
Requirements : • CPA
• 10-15 years of diverse experience, Public Accounting a Plus
• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Evaluate technical accounting topics and implement new accounting standards
• Coordinating activities of external auditors
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Managing the budget process
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Evaluating accounting and internal system of controls including monitoring Sarbanes Oxley implantation, compliance and remediation
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Assist in preparation of Board materials
• Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
