Description : Summary of the position

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the incumbent will work in collaboration with the teams in place with focus on the general accounting treatment including the accounting for daily transactions, month-end process, the financial statements preparation and related financial information analysis. The position will be based in Westminster, CA.


• Participate in preparing and booking sales orders and reconciling sales to the general ledger.
• Participate in reconciling purchase orders and invoices and posting invoices to the general ledger.
• Participate in preparing weekly proposed supplier payments for approval by the Director of Finance and submission to Corporate for disbursement.
• Maintain the financial registers up to date, balance other various accounts by using bookkeeping and accounting computer systems of the company.
• Actively participate in the month-end and year-end process of the division
• Reconcile and analyse balance sheet items from the subledgers to general ledgers, prepare the monthly adjusting journal entries and work sheets and maintain general ledger up to date.
• Involved in analyzing the general ledger’s accounts and explain the gap in the operating margin and other metrics in comparison to budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare and analyze the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements/reporting packs
• Involved in the recurring and non-recurring journal entries
• Involved in the preparation of financial reports to be sent to Corporate.
• Involved in the monthly reconciliation of all intercompany transactions
• Involved in the annual budget preparation and quarterly financial forecasts
• Participate in the preparation of the year-end audit file
• Offer a support and participate in specific analysis, most particularly to the Operations requests
Requirements : Profile :

• Bachelor in accounting or any other relevant training
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Experience with the full accounting cycle (essential)
• Experience working in Ecommerce and online retail platforms strongly encouraged.
• Resourcefulness and manage priorities
• Master Office and Excel tools
• Experience in an environment using the ERP system
• Knowledge of Acumatica and/or Microsoft D365 (an asset)
• Proficiency in English (written and oral)
• Able to work in team or independently
• Possesses strong analytical skill and pay attention to details
• Results oriented, respect of schedules
• Able to work in short timeframe and under pressure
