Description : This company is an emerging leader in the production and distribution of renewable natural gas (RNG), a proven low carbon fuel with a decades-long track record of results that has the power to rapidly decarbonize the transportation industry. This captures harmful methane emissions at the source and recycles the trapped energy into a commercially viable, low-cost alternative to diesel fuel. We are looking for a Director of Consolidation & SEC Reporting with at least 10 years of experience. This role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will be located in our White Plains, New York headquarters.

• Lead all aspects of quarterly 10Q / annual 10K SEC filings, including completion of MD&A, footnote disclosures, and other required. disclosures; work paper compilation and tie-out; integration of comments provided by colleagues and interaction with business leaders to ensure accurate filings; XBRL tagging of the financial statements and footnotes; communication with external auditors; management of SEC reporting software; completion of GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
• Maintain quarterly reporting timetable and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.
• Ensure accounting and disclosure-related matters, and new GAAP / SEC reporting requirements are incorporated into filings. Recommend improvements to existing disclosures and ensure compliance.
• Research, document and advise on complex accounting positions and transactions as they arise. Prepare and/or review technical. accounting memos, accounting policies, and analysis as needed. Coordinate with outsourced technical accounting resources, as needed.
• Lead quarterly disclosure committee meetings and meetings with leaders in various business functions that impact SEC disclosures.
• Provide financial reporting, audit, and compliance support, satisfying all requests timely and accurately with requested information.
• Assist in the preparation of financial information included in quarterly Investor Relations documents (scripts, investor presentations, etc.). Support Investor Relations to ensure financial statements and accounting positions are understood and correctly communicated.
• Support the FP&A team’s forecast and budgetary processes by providing knowledge transfer pertaining to technical accounting positions and transactions.
• Serve as mentor to a growing team with a focus on professional development of the staff.
• Ability to think strategically and identify areas for improvement and redesign of processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements : Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA with a mix of public and corporate accounting experience, Big 4 experience preferred
• At least 10+ years, progressive work experience in total, with at least 2 years in an SEC reporting role
• Extensive GAAP, SEC filing and SOX experience and knowledge
• Strong technical accounting background and acumen.
• Impeccable communication skills, demonstrated by the proven ability to communicate both orally and in writing, including the dissemination of financial performance and related information.
• Previous experience in the energy industry preferred, but not required.
