||About the Role
As the Accounting Manager, you will support the Accounting team and being responsible for the month-close process.
• Your Team
You will report to the Director of FP&A for Consumer Audio Americas and have 3 direct reports.
What You Will Do
o Coordinates and leads the monthly financial close for North America Consumer, ensuring all internal policies and accounting principles are followed accordingly.
o Reviews reconciliations and manual journal entries prepared by the team. Including, but not limited to: cash, pre-paid, intercompany, accounts receivables (gross and reserves), inventory (gross, in-transit, purchase price variances, fixed overhead absorption and reserves), warranty accrual, freight expenses accruals, duties/tariffs accruals/amortization, warehouse expenses accruals, customers service accruals and accounts payables.
o Supervises and provides guidance to SFA to calculate, present, get approvals and implement annual standard cost update.
o Leads the process to provide supporting documentation to Internal and External Audit.
o Supports the Corporate Tax team with the quarterly tax package.
o Provides approval for new vendors, PO's, special projects, etc.
o Supports the Director of FP&A/Accounting in the financial planning and analysis for North America Consumer financial statements.
o Participates in the forecasting process for P&L and working capital accounts.
o Participates the preparation and submission of annual financial budget to Global Consumer.
o Prepares and supervises the preparation of monthly variance analysis and monthly management reports.
o Identifies cost savings and process improvement opportunities for inventory and warehouse management, freight-in and out, quality and customer services.
