Description : Pizza Hut U.S. is seeking to hire an experienced and talented senior level FP&BA specialist into its finance function. In what is a pivotal role, this individual will work collaboratively with cross functional teams to develop and lead brand initiatives, specifically in the area of FP&BA and e-commerce strategy and funding, to deliver sales, profit and asset development targets. Further, the Director will be tasked with analyzing all information collated by the FP&BA department to help shape and influence the wider leadership team on the direction of all things financial; the cross-functional nature of the position means that the Director FP&BA will be closest to the entire Pizza Hut U.S. business plus all company-wide insights.

The Director FP&BA will be supported by a team of 10 with two direct reports across planning and business analytics. Reporting directly to Lynne Broad, CFO, s/he will work alongside a peer group consisting of the Strategic Planning Director and the VP, Franchisee M&A/Finance.

The successful candidate will bring best practice commercial finance expertise and be able to fully utilize their experience to build an ever-improving high caliber FP&BA function. A strong leader, s/he will be excited by a challenge, able to work in an environment which is undergoing transformation and requires the confidence to disrupt traditionally held ways of working and beliefs. Just as important will be the ability to coach and mentor a team of direct reports who are smart and talented yet relatively new to the organization.

To ensure success, the Director FP&BA must be a big leader, comfortable enough in their own skin to have a strong voice, and have the desire to make a difference by combining finely honed strategic and analytical skills with an openness to lean-in and get their hands dirty. With intellectual smarts perfectly complemented by high emotional intelligence, the ability to build deep cross functional relationships internally as well as with franchise partnerships will be essential. Lastly, but by no means least, an ambitious mindset and the stretch to grow within the organization is imperative.

Ultimately, the new Director FP&BA will join Pizza Hut U.S. at one of the most exciting times in its history, as the organization seeks to boldly accelerate on the momentum of the past 18 months and capitalize on immense future growth potential.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

-Lead Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly Forecast processes by coordinating and having discussions with all functions, ensuring annual growth and profit targets are met.

-Coach a team of 10, building their capability and delegating duties and responsibilities in order to ensure timely and accurate performance against all key deliverables.

-Partner with technology team on all key technology initiatives to understand financial and strategic implications.

-Communicate and explain period and annual results internally and provide variances against forecast and updating the outlook for the balance of the year.

-Lead financial reviews for management at different levels. Recommend plans of action to meet objectives and coordinate efforts to execute them.

-Lead strategic initiatives by providing financial support, analysis, and thought leadership to the business.

-Present business cases to management team and identify best business practices and disseminate to other markets.

-Responsible for leading all financial decisions in the development of a national marketing calendar to support a $5 Billion Brand

-Coordinate discussions with multi-functional leaders and make recommendations and follow up on agreed times. Areas of work include pricing opportunities, asset-strategy economics and loyalty program economics and analysis
Requirements : -Bachelor degree required, with major in finance-related discipline. Post-graduate (MBA) qualification preferred

-10+ relevant business experience, with at least five years in planning positions at a Senior Manager, Head of and/or Director level

-Solid understanding of the overall planning function

-Extensive knowledge of financial statements and business decision making tools

-Experience in managing quarterly forecasting and analysis

-Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and service attitude skills, with the ability to interface directly with all levels of management

-Strong communication skills: oral, written, and presentation

-Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and intellectual curiosity; likes to challenge status quo

-Strategic vision capability and results oriented

-Ability to lead multiple projects, absorb ad hoc work into routine schedule and work under pressure against tight deadlines

-Restaurant operations / field experience a plus

-Experience of working in a multi-channel organization preferred but not essential

-Experience of working with franchise partners preferred but not essential
