The Sr. Director of Merchandising Strategy- Beauty & Personal Care Experience & Service, will report directly to the VP of Beauty & Personal Care. You will lead a large team responsible for stewarding the development of the overall beauty and personal care strategy in an exciting, dynamic, competitive landscape and ensure alignment with our retail and enterprise strategy. You will also spearhead the design, test, and execution of our highest priorities and multi-million dollar growth initiatives to manifest the strategy.
The primary objective of this team is to ensure:
• The CVS Beauty strategy is truly focusing on the right customers for growth and making the right choices for those customers
• That CVS Beauty is building a secure approach in a new competitive environment where digital has blurred the lines between brands and retailers
• The execution of our customer proposition in a way that clearly defines our brand and voice in Beauty to drive growth beyond the use of promotion as a means of growth (i.e. driving regular sales, not just promotional sales)
Requirements : Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of Strategy or Consumer/Retail experience at a top-tier company
• 5+ years of leadership experience with proven ability building high-performing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding of and strong interest in the fundamental aspects of an omni-channel retail business and its components, particularly around the evolving economic environment and competitive positioning of existing and emerging players within the sector
• Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization
• Ability to lead the strategy development and execution planning of transformative projects from end-to-end with both internal and external entities
• Shown skills in developing strategic frameworks and “storytelling” with customer-centered mindset, relevant fact-base, and key assumptions
• Proven track record of driving significant sales and margin with strong analytical capabilities to identify risk and opportunities
• Ability to plan and manage multiple project deliverables simultaneously ensuring all key landmarks are met and risks communicated and mitigated
