Description : The recently established U.S. Consumer Bank organization delivers a wide array of banking, payments, lending and investment services to individual consumers and small businesses. Our products and services cover a wide range of client banking needs including credit cards, basic banking, mortgages and investment advisory services.

The COO, U.S. Consumer Banking is currently seeking a candidate to drive key Business Transformation & Strategic Initiatives, with a focus on driving expense productivity and operating model efficiency. Reporting to the COO, the successful candidate will work in close partnership with U.S. Consumer’s senior leadership and business/functional heads to:
• Guide / execute analysis of our markets, competitors, and customers using internal and external resources
• Identify opportunities and issues of strategic importance to U.S. Consumer
• Drive critical transformation, productivity and cross-business unit initiatives and ensure effective execution of these initiatives
• Lead projects end-to-end: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change
• Ensure that strategic recommendations are driven through to implementation, by providing thought leadership and enabling execution
• Ensure tracking and measuring are in place for all initiatives, designing relevant project-specific metrics and scorecards
• Develop CEO and Board-level presentations
Requirements : Candidate Qualifications
• 15+ years experience in consumer banking including extensive experience in strategy development and execution
• Experience with a major consulting firm, including senior engagement management roles with client assignments of significant scope in consumer financial services
• An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline, a top-tier MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
• Broad knowledge of consumer financial services; demonstrates clear understanding of the drivers of performance and decision making to maximize results
• Strategic thinker with proven ability to operationalize the strategy. Strong problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of the drivers of value and the financial statements in consumer financial services
• Strong presence, communication skills and ability to influence others and deliver clearly articulate presentations to senior leaders
• Ability to lead and direct a team of cross-functional, knowledgeable professionals
• An understanding of Citi's North America consumer businesses and preexisting senior / middle management relationships are preferred
