Global Strategy works closely with MetLife’s CEO and Executive Leadership Group to set, refresh, and communicate the strategy and drive critical initiatives. We work with leaders across the enterprise to solve business problems and drive change.

Key functions of the team include:
•Drive successful execution of MetLife’s Next Horizon strategy, through the implementation of strategic growth opportunities in partnership with business units and global corporate functions
•Support key decision-making forums and executive/Board meetings
•Serves as MetLife’s in-house consulting group
•Support annual planning and capital allocation process
•Ensure leaders are aware of key trends and industry insights, and understand the implications to MetLife’s businesses
•Execution and governance of enterprise strategy and other large programs

Key Responsibilities:
•Lead cross functional teams on high visibility complex projects or workstreams from ideation to incubation, which require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration
•Focus on helping the business solve problems and answer key questions through close interaction with senior leadership
•Maintain understanding of the megatrends impacting the industry and customer experience and their effect on MetLife, develop insights and perspectives to share with senior leadership
•Develop complex financial and investment models and full business cases to evaluate opportunities including ROI analyses
•Create communications related to strategic business plans and initiatives.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
•Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage across multiple functions and business units
•A self-starter, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to manage consensus at various levels and cultivate strategic internal relationships across a matrixed organization
•Ability to influence and negotiate without formal direct authority, consultative in approach; diplomatic
•Organized and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities
•Strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to tailor them to executive audiences
•Flexibility to accommodate working across global time zones
•No direct supervisory responsibilities
Requirements : Required:
•5+ years of relevant experience
•Experience at a top tier consulting firm or in a strategic planning function at a Fortune 500 firm.
•Prior experience in projects that require detailed execution. Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
•Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
•Must possess business maturity, strong presence, and advanced written and verbal communication skills.
•BA required,

•MBA or Masters degree in Finance or Economics highly preferred.
•Prior insurance or retail financial services experience is a plus but not mandatory.
•Foreign language skills a positive.
