Position Summary:
The Supply Chain MMIS Project lead directly reports to the Supply Chain MMIS Manager and provides support to Supply Chain Shared Services staff and John Hopkins Medicine customers with regards to system processes and issues and contributes to aspects of the management of Item Master Data and Vendor Data. The role is also responsible for vendor payments, GHX accounts, workflow resolution, PO processing as well as managing the Payment works system for all PO related vendors. The Supply chain MMIS Project lead will manager and review the SAP contract data to ensure accuracy working closely with the sourcing staff. The Supply Chain MMIS Project Lead also works with Prime Distributor to manage and resolve daily PO activities and manages all SAP ship to and vendor accounts in system. The MMIS Project lead could also be tasked with updating online training and other supply chain related task.
Requirements : Competencies:
A. Education:
Requires knowledge of Supply Chain/Accounts payable as normally obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or five years work experience in related areas with a preference for Five years experience in a Purchasing/Accounting department.
B. Knowledge:
Must have strong knowledge of SAP, intermediate knowledge of computer equipment, automated accounts payable and purchasing systems, as well as Supply Chain and Accounting principles. Knowledge of EDI and proficient in Excel.
C. Skills:
Must have strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and troubleshoot various Supply Chain related problems
Ability to work in a team, coordinating work across other team members
Ability to assist other departments in maintaining computer systems for inventory management, accounts payable and purchasing and in‑house systems personnel Must have strong knowledge of how ERP Supply chain applications enhance the daily business practices of the organization
Must have strong analytical ability necessary to solve Supply Chain computer operating problems
Must be detail oriented
Must be a team player
Must be adaptable to changing circumstances
Must be able to prioritize competing priorities
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Strong knowledge of Excel and Access, merging files, data cleansing, project manager

E. Work Experience:
Minimum of five years of Supply Chain and or accounts payable experience – Knowledge of MMIS modules including – Requisitioning, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Management, Invoicing and EDI is required

None, but will generally oversee the work of Master Data employees.
Problem Solving:
Effectiveness in problem solving is required to resolve user department concerns/problems regarding vendors, services, billing or various Supply Chain related issues. Must also be able to explain how processes impact budget.
Information Management:
Knowledge of Materials Management information and Support Systems.
