The Manager of Analytics reports into the Director of Analytics of the Supply Chain Analytics team at Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS). This position is responsible for overseeing a pool of supply chain analysts that can be flexibly deployed according to strategic supply chain priorities. The analysts are cross-trained and can contribute to these strategic initiatives through a range of activities, including, but not limited to, data analytics, financial analysis, capital analysis, contract review and analysis, and project management and implementation. The strategic supply chain initiatives could be situated at the corporate-level, the hospital-level, the warehouse-level or at Ambulatory Surgery Centers and they could pertain to sourcing, value analysis, procurement or inventory management. In overseeing the pool of supply chain analysts, the Manager of Analytics will have the following responsibilities:
• Provide quality assurance and control for analytics by validating inputs, outputs and methodologies/calculations
• Provide best practice on supply chain analytics
• Lead the execution of the analytics capability development strategy for supply chain analytics (e.g. development of analytical tools & templates)
• Lead the execution of the cross-training strategy for supply chain analytics
• Track interests, strengths and development areas of analysts in the analyst pool
• Tracking project requests, informing staffing decisions and scheduling projects for analysts in the analyst pool
• Motivate and performance manage analysts in the analyst pool and contribute to hiring/firing decisions
• Provide day to day oversight, support and mentorship for analysts in the analyst pool Inventory related activities could temporarily be part of the Mgr. Analytics position. The activities could include, but are not limited to, monitoring inventory activities, leading product implementations, improving inventory processes in SAP, managing inventory policies and leading creating and stabilization of new Inventory Plants in SAP.
Work Location: Keswick
A relevant bachelor's degree is required (e.g. computer science, informatics, management of information systems, data science, business, supply chain). A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible analytics experience. Experience in a health care setting is preferred but not required.
Advanced knowledge of supply chain analytics include collection, cleansing, analysis and interpretation of supply chain data for a wide variety of project types (e.g. sourcing, procurement, inventory and value analysis) and a wide variety of organizational levels (e.g. corporate, hospital, warehouse and ambulatory surgery center). Knowledge of staffing concepts, ideally in Analytics departments. Knowledge of project management. Knowledge of supply chain functions, ideally in a health care setting. Knowledge of EHR or Warehouse Management Software preferred, but not required.
