Description : The Senior Accountant will provide accounting and analytical support to management across all segments of the organization. Responsibilities include preparing monthly journal entries, as well as reconciling and analyzing assigned general ledger accounts. Prepare annual budgets and forecasts. Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting, which includes variance commentary, to management within the required time-frame.Prepare journal entries as required.
Analyze monthly actual vs. budget variances. Work with field and other home office departments to provide commentary on monthly analysis. Meet with department heads to discuss results and fiscal planning.

Essential Functions:
• Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, ensuring that account balances and details are accurate and variances to expectations are explained.
• Create and distribute weekly sales flash.
• Perform accounting duties related to Partnership Marketing, contract payments, payroll, equity, deferrals, and interest.
• Prepare capital spend and depreciation reporting.
• Act as a liaison between Accounting and other departments across the organization to facilitate budgeting & forecasting for expense accounts, cash flow, and balance sheet accounts, including capital spend.
• Perform ad hoc work as required.
• Identify and implement ideas for process improvements and report automation.
Requirements : • 5 - 10 years General Ledger Accounting or Audit experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• General Ledger Reconciliation / Variance Analysis / Analytical Analysis experience
• Strong Lead in Monthly Close Process
• Budgeting and Forecasting experience
• Review contracts ensuring revenue recognition guidance is accurately applied.
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel (VLookups & Pivot Tables) and Word skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to mentor staff
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong mathematical skills
• Strong focus on accuracy and ability to work with details
• Financial Reporting software experience a plus
• Ability to prioritize and work on several tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Proactively seek to improve process controls and efficiency
• Ability to work quickly and under pressure
• Organizational skills
