Description : We are looking for a Manager, SEC Reporting to join our team and this opportunity will report to our Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting. In this role, you will be responsible with all aspects of SEC reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the SEC reporting process, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks and 8-Ks, earnings, and other forms of SEC filings and communications with the SEC.
• Responsible for all aspects of SEC reporting including review of the disclosure checklist, preparation/review of the cash flow, review of XBRL tagging, and preparation/review of financial reporting tie-outs.
• Supervision/coordination of information gathering activities to ensure required schedules are obtained from other departments and reviewed to ensure accuracy/integrity of information.
• Maintain SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the following processes: financial close, Audit Committee materials, earnings release and 10-Q/K
• Prepare quarterly materials for executive audiences (CFO review, AC and BOD materials).
• Review of financial information included in the earnings release, script and other earnings material.
• Monitor and assist with implementation of new accounting pronouncements applicable to the Company.
• Be a trusted business partner and work closely with various stakeholders within finance and across the Company including investor relations, legal, FP&A, stock plan, general accounting, tax and treasury.
• Manage communications with external auditors on external reporting matters and accounting issues.
• Assist with M&A transactions and stock-based compensation accounting, as needed.
• Assist with technical memos, as needed.
• Assist with the execution, maintenance and updating of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 processes and procedures.
• Perform continuous assessment of the external reporting process to improve the quality and reduce the timing from close to report.
• Train and motivate staff through effective performance management and career-development activities.
• Special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements : Qualifications:
• CPA preferred.
• Masters or bachelor’s degree in accounting with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a combination of Big 4 and industry experience. 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding and application of US GAAP, SEC/financial reporting requirements including financial statements and disclosures, and SOX 404 requirements.
• Proficient in researching accounting literature and summarizing findings for accounting files or other audience.
• Must be detail-oriented, have a proactive approach and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization with varying understanding of accounting concepts.
• Strong work ethic and ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to roll up their sleeves and contribute in the day-to-day tasks, as needed.
• Ability to build an effective team through coaching and mentoring.
• Highly organized, with focus on process discipline.
• Excellent team player who can build and leverage alliances.
• XBRL tagging knowledge is a must.
• Work well in a team environment and cross-functional environment.
• Experience in high-tech industry is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Word and Excel skills.
• Experience with NetSuite and Workiva is a plus.
